Ex-Chicago Ald. Solis’ Agreement With Feds Goes Public
(Chicago, IL) — An agreement former Chicago Alderman Daniel Solis made with federal prosecutors is being made public. Solis signed the secret agreement the day after Christmas in 2018, admitting to taking bribes from real estate developers in exchange for his help on zoning issues. He wore a wire to help federal investigators build cases against fellow Alderman Ed Burke and ex-Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan. Solis was formally charged with a bribery count last week and is set to be arraigned today.
