Registration is still open for the Summer Reading Challenge at the Effingham Public Library. It’s open to all area kids and a library card is not required. Kids can earn rewards for reading, and all who compete four reading levels will get a book of their own to keep and an invitation to a pool party. Those who read for 42 straight days will be honored at the Super Summer Reader medal ceremony. You can register at effinghamlibrary.org/read.
