The Effingham Public Library will hold the “1,000 Books Kickoff” this Thursday, August 25, 2022, starting at 10:30am. The goal is to have kids read 1,000 books before they start kindergarten. The kickoff will feature stores, songs, balloon sculptures, plus a certain snowman who loves summer will be there. Kids are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite “Frozen” character. The program is free, but registration is encouraged at effinghamlibrary.org.
