Free Seminar to Feature Innovative Solutions for Back Pain

(Paris, IL)—Back pain got you down? Learn about innovative treatments for chronic back pain at a free seminar at Sycamore Pain & Wellness, a service of Horizon Health.

The event will take place Wednesday, November 2, at 5:30 pm and again at 6:30 pm (Eastern time), at the Sycamore Pain & Wellness clinic, 1378 S. State Road 46, in Terre Haute.

“Back pain is a major cause of disability and a major reason why people visit the doctor,” said Dr. Thomas Pendergast, Sycamore Pain & Wellness founder and board certified pain management specialist.

Attendees will learn about two minimally invasive solutions for back pain and how patients have experienced life-changing relief:

Vertiflex Procedure – Relieves lower back and leg pain associated with lumbar spinal stenosis. A small implanted “spacer” restores disc space between the vertebrae, lifting pressure off the nerves.
VIA Disc Procedure – A non-surgical treatment for low back pain caused by degenerative disc disease. Damage is repaired utilizing an injectable graft, comprised of tissue and disc material.

Each of these minor procedures has a fast recovery time, low risk of infection and complications, and does not require a hospital stay, said Dr. Pendergast.
