The Lake Mattoon Bass Club and Friends of Lake Mattoon will host a kid’s fishing derby Saturday, May 6, at the small pond across from the marina. Registration will start at 9am and the kids will fish from 9:30-11am. Awards for total fish and largest fish will be handed out, along with raffle prizes. It’s open to young anglers ages 4 to 15.
