Sunday, October 1, 2023, is opening day of archery deer season, and once again, the University of Illinois Extension is encouraging hunters to participate in the Illinois Deer Donation Program. This program helps expand access to lean protein through East Central Illinois and reduce barriers to healthier lifestyles.
