Eastern Illinois student-athletes continue to set the standard in the classroom. A record 368 Ohio Valley Conference athletes earned the 2025-26 OVC Academic Medal of Honor, each carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA. EIU ranked third in the conference with 44 honorees, while leading the OVC over the last decade with 406 total Medal of Honor winners. Panthers were recognized across baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, track and field, volleyball and more. The OVC will announce additional academic awards next week.
