That empty Big Lots on Charleston Avenue in Mattoon isn’t staying empty for long, in fact, it’s already filling up fast… Ollie’s Bargain Outlet will officially open its new Mattoon store on Wednesday, October 21st, taking over the former Big Lots location at 204 Charleston Ave. East.
The store will celebrate with a ribbon cutting at 8:45 a.m. that morning, starting off a day that’ll bring plenty of deals and excitement for the grand opening.
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet built its reputation on the slogan “Good Stuff Cheap,” and the Mattoon location promises to deliver those bargains on everything from toys and gifts to holiday decorations and household essentials. Beyond the massive price cuts on quality items, the new store brings some real opportunity for the area, too. Ollie’s says the Mattoon location will create approximately 50 to 60 jobs here in the community.
Did we mention 101.3 WMCI will be there for the grand opening, broadcasting live from the store from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.? And we will have the goodies and giveaways going too with plenty of chances to win throughout our live remote! Stop by and see Greyson for your chance at several gift cards and up to $300 worth of Ollie’s products picked out straight from the store’s shelves. Plan to swing by Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Mattoon on October 21st to check out the new store, shop the deals, and to say “hi!”
