First Neighbor Bank Welcomes Mike Flack as Chief Information & Technology Officer
First Neighbor Bank is pleased to announce that Mike Flack has joined the corporate team as Chief Information & Technology Officer.
In this role, Flack will lead the bank’s overall technology strategy, ensuring technology investments support current business needs while establishing a strong foundation for future growth. He will oversee the bank’s technology operations, cybersecurity, data strategy, technology risk management, and business continuity planning.
A key priority for the position will be strengthening the relationship between technology and the organization. “I want technology to be viewed as an enabler of growth, efficiency, security, and exceptional customer service, not simply as a support function,” said Flack.
“Mike brings an impressive combination of technical expertise, banking knowledge, and strategic leadership to First Neighbor Bank,” said Scott Bland, Chief Operating Officer at First Neighbor Bank. “As we continue to grow and enhance the services we provide to our customers, Mike’s experience will be instrumental in helping us achieve our long-term goals while maintaining the high level of service our customers expect.”
Flack brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience, including extensive work in the banking industry. Most recently, he held a senior technology leadership role at a regional bank with more than 1,200 associates and 90 locations, where he helped shape technology strategy, oversee major technology investments, and lead infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.
He also led the technology integration efforts for three bank acquisitions, helping ensure smooth transitions while maintaining security and regulatory compliance.
“What excites me most about joining First Neighbor Bank is the opportunity to be part of the bank’s next chapter of growth while joining an organization with such a strong reputation, rich history, and deep commitment to its communities,” said Flack. “First Neighbor Bank has an exceptional foundation. I’m excited to help strengthen our technology capabilities, improve operational efficiency, enhance security, and position the bank for continued success. I’m especially looking forward to working with a leadership team that recognizes technology as a critical component of the bank’s long-term strategy.”
Flack holds a degree in Criminal Justice, a background that has strengthened his focus on risk management, security, governance, and disciplined decision-making throughout his technology career. He has also continued to pursue professional development in banking technology and leadership.
